Does salicylic acid hold any meanings for you? If you frequently purchase face-cleansing products targeted at acne, that term should be on of your best buddies because it’s one of the two most common active ingredients in the treatment of acne. I finally know what to do with the jar I have in my kitchen cabinet now!

While “natural,” it’s important to check whether you are allergic to anything of the ingredients within the DIY masks and toners—I wouldn’t want you to worsen your skin problem because of carelessness. This goes for store bought products too. If you know you have a negative reaction to products containing salicylic acid, then you should avoid all the products that contain it. Experimenting is good but try to be careful!
