Nearly every woman has heard about Kegel exercises today.  The belief is that doing Kegel exercises regularly will keep the vaginal muscles tight and toned.  Many also believe that Kegel exercises help make sex more pleasurable.  So, do these exercises actually work?  The answer is more complicated than a simple “yes” or “no.”

Kegels can be beneficial for young women prior to childbirth.  However, the majority of women lose a significant amount of tone after giving birth and as they age.  The pelvic floor muscles typically become weak with age which often leads to less enjoyment during sex.

For those who experience no results from Kegel exercises, perhaps you should consider vaginal rejuvenation surgery.  Vaginal rejuvenation includes precise aesthetic surgical incisions made on the muscles and supportive tissues of the vagina.  This helps to increase the muscle tone of the vagina which can lead to a higher state of pleasure during sex.  Believe it or not, this surgery is becoming commonplace.  However, at this time, there are still only a few surgeons who specialize in vaginal procedures.  If you’re seeking a vaginoplasty in Ohio or other states in the Midwest, you might have to do your research to find the right doctor.

Laser vaginal rejuvenation is not the only popular vaginal surgery today.  Another common surgery is labiaplasty which changes the vagina cosmetically.  Many women experience an improved sex life from this procedure.  During labiplasty, the labias are made equal in both size and shape.  Labiaplasty is now available all over the United States which means that you can have labiaplasty in Chicago as well as many of the other fifty states.
