ResDermatrol combines Resveratrol with six other anti-aging peptides. What are peptides? They are amino acids that naturally occur in the body. They are the building blocks that when sufficiently combined create proteins which are the foundation of life.

The Resveratrol in this product is a highly concentrated antioxidant. And, its antioxidant properties help to prevent and repair the damage caused by free radicals, which are naturally produced as a result of our body’s use of oxygen.

ResDermatrol's use of natural ingredients and antioxidants earns it a 4.75 out of 5 stars. It would have earned 5 stars if the limited no-risk trials were more widely available.

Hydroxatone - "True Botox Alternative?"

Hydroxatone is being touted as a "true Botox alternative." This statement is indeed true. In our opinion, any product that works to reduce wrinkles and does not require Botox injections is a great alternative. In fact, all of the products reviewed here are Botox alternatives.

What makes Hydroxatone unique is its use of Matrixyl and Argireline, which are the latest in scientific research to reduce the effect of aging. Matrixyl is a peptide and as described earlier a peptide is a beginning building block of proteins. Matrixyl was discovered to have healing properties and helps to produce collagen. It has been clinically shown to repair wounds and thus reduce the effects of wrinkling on the skin.

Argireline is another peptide that has as its main property the ability to relax facial wrinkles. It basically prevents facial muscles from becoming irritated and contracting. In essence, this is how Botox injections work thus, the reason why Hyrdoxatone has been touted as a true Botox alternative.

In addition to these two peptide ingredients, Hydroxatone also includes SPF-15 to help prevent sun damage to the skin. This is a great addition because not only are you preventing skin damage, but also simultaneously repairing damage.

At the same time, the reason why Hydroxatone did not receive 5 out of 5 stars is because some people are allergic to many types of SPF formulas.

Vioderm - "Intensive Anti-Wrinkle Serum"

Vioderm is another great Botox alternative, and like Hydroxatone, is formulated on the peptide Matrixyl. As explained above Matrixyl heals wounds and thus helps in the repair of damaged, wrinkled skin.

The other main ingredient in Vioderm is Retinol, which essentially is a form of vitamin A. Retinol has been shown to stimulate collagen growth, as well as to make skin more elastic. These are important functions, as they help to make the skin look younger. One of the other great benefits of Retinol is its ability to naturally exfoliate the skin. In other words, it turns over the dry skin to allow fresh skin to generate.

The reason why Vioderm did not score higher is primarily because some people have shown slight irritation to the Retinol. This can be reduced or eliminated by applying the cream slowly and not to overdo its application.

But, for those users who have no negative reaction to Retinol, Vioderm has been proven to be very helpful and cost-effective.
